About Wah-Maker
Wah-Maker was founded by Alan Wah, a university-trained designer and son of a pioneer family and west coast native. Mr Wah based his original designs on diligent research into authentic period fabrics, designs, and period photographs, and he is widely credited with bringing authentic historical clothing to a broad audience. Alan Wah has since retired from Wah-Maker, but the Wah-Maker tradition carries on with new designs, fabrics, and the same commitment to authenticity. Wah-Maker is the brand of choice for 19th century and 1800s living history men's clothing, whether for civil war era civilian portrayals, pioneer days events, or victorian performances. Traditional designs, reproduction fabrics, and authentic details are all hallmarks of Wah-Maker quality. Wah-Maker is also an official clothing sponsor for Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS), Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association, and Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), among other reenactment organizations, whose members recognize the brand for its authenticity, durability, and fine finish. Wah-Maker clothing has been used in countless television and feature film productions, including Dances with Wolves, Legends of the West, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven, and HBO's Deadwood.
