Clara Ardeth Buckland, Boardinghouse Owner
Mrs. Buckland learned to cook at the knee of her favorite Aunt Sally and went on to prove her own aptitude for baking by winning blue ribbons three years running at the county fair. There was much anticipation when she opened her boardinghouse and restaurant following her husband’s untimely death in the tornado last summer, and she has not disappointed. Mrs. Buckland provides the cleanest rooms in town, along with the best biscuits this side of the Mississippi.
