Althea Parker, Victorian Lady

An estimable lady who was among the first settlers of this area, Mrs. Parker is well known among the local townfolk and is now recognized as one of the leading citizens of the area. She and her husband Dr. Calvin Parker moved to the town 20 years ago whereupon Dr. Parker began his medical practice tending the ailments of the local populace: accidental gunshots, cattle gorings and other common maladies.

Mrs. Parker raised their three sons and was instrumental in establishing the local school and public library and served as the school superintendent for several years.
