Both handy and handsome, our Regency Trousers have outfitted men on both sides of a century. During the early 19th century full-length, light-colored trousers were de rigueur for men’s daywear and were spotted everywhere from military outposts to all the “in” spots about town.
Alas, zippers as we know them were not invented until the early 1900s. But the clever design of these men’s trousers combine a hidden men’s button fly for the modern man, with the fashionable Regency fall-front flap. Another true modern-day improvement is just a touch of Spandex woven into the wool to provide comfort for any activity with a stylish drape. An adjustable d-ring at the back waist provides a custom fit. Pair with a top hat, a cut-away Regency-era frock coat and pair of tall fitted boots for the tip-to-toe trend.
Fashioned from a 95% wool / 5% Spandex blend. Unhemmed and unlined. Imported. Professionally dry clean only. Available in men’s waist sizes 30-40.
Our fall front trousers trousers are sized similar to modern trousers, and have a bit of stretch so are a bit forgiving. However, these trousers do sit higher on the body than modern trousers. Therefore, if you your belly is larger than your waist, use your belly measurement as your size. Otherwise, use your waist measurement.

I was very pleased to find that the trousers completely lived up to my expectations as the elasticity allowed them to fit snugly even though they are men's trousers. I could see these being worn for fashion and not just costumeparties and performances. Also a nice touch that the length is left open for modification :-)

These are very well made and the use of some spandex in the material was inspired. I had the legs hemmed to fit and had my tailor add an elastic stirrup to hold them down while I pull on my pale rider boots. This is the genuine article!
