Tall, dark and mysterious, our Charcoal Callahan Frock Coat creates an enigmatic image for the 19th century gentleman. A shadowy yet still stylish substitute for black, our men’s jacket will keep folks whispering about your reputation.
Before the shorter, boxy jacket of the “sack” suit (still being worn today), the frock coat was the standard silhouette for men. Longer and seamed at the waist, our vintage-look coat features charcoal gray fabric with a hint of blue hue, matching fabric covered buttons, a notched lapel and intricate detailing on the back. Necessities can be kept at hand in the interior breast pocket. However, should you encounter an unsavory character in some back alley or less-traveled road, your valuables will stay hidden in two cleverly tucked-away tail pockets.
Fabric is 70% polyester / 18% wool / 12% rayon with a full acetate lining. Imported. Dry Clean Only. Available in sizes 38–52.
Our coats are made with typical American sizing, meaning your chest measurement (in inches) is the size you should choose.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size.
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves.

Looks great and feels great. Very difficult to find coats like this one, and this is an extremely nice one at a reasonable price. In the middle of an exchange because I initially purchased the wrong size, but very excited to receive and wear the right sized one.

This is a well-made coat for the most part, but there are a couple disappointments. The lining is cheap material and is not full, and the shoulders are a bit too big. Other than that it's a good coat and I would recommend it.

Bought this coat to compliment my frendale waistcaot and trousers. Sleeves needed a bit of tailoring and it fits like a glove now......went to a fromal party the other day and did not have a winter coat, so grabbed this from the closet....smashing success it was, no one even caught on to the coat just said it looked really nice....very well made and comfortable

Got this coat after the one I wanted was out of stock. Good coat for the price, but does look a bit more like a stage prop than a full fledged historical coat. Still a good coat for a costume and I am happy with the purchase overall.

If you're a gentleman (and I know you are) you need this coat. It's made with excellent materials and fits just right. For me the length is great (just above the knees) and it's weight really adds to its feel (this is not just a thin piece of fabric). Worth every penny.

WHEN I RECEIVED THE COAT, I WAS IMPRESSED BY IT JUST TAKING IT OUT OF THE BOX. A VERY ELEGENT. LIGHT WEIGHT GARMENT. IN MY CASE, A LITTLE TOO MUCH PASTA IN THE BELLY, THE COAT DID NOT FIT IN THE WAIST.I WEAR A SIZE 46L OR 48R, DEPENDING ON MANUFACTURE, AND THE NEXT SIZE UP WAS OUT OF STOCK. I STILL WOULD RECOMEND THIS COAT TO ANYBODY, BUT YOU MAY HAVE TO ORDER A SIZE UP.
