Anthony Kansas	The other reviews were right, this vest is actually more of a gold. However, if you expect that ahead of time and plan your outfit - good grief- it is not disappointing. Quite stunning in person, though I would not plan on buttoning and unbuttoning too often to preserve the quality of the surfaces. I originally had 7 vests picked out, and this one was the favorite by a landslide.

thestream	We were looking for a vest to dress up my fiance's outfit for our wedding. He's got a gorgeous lavender shirt and black pants but didn't want to wear a suit or tux. This vest fit the bill. We received the shipment promptly, but the vest size was incorrectly marked. A new vest was sent out immediately, and it fits perfectly. We love it. Thanks.

BoldODonahue Fresno CA	While I found this vest to be of excellent quality and of tremendous fabric, it could have used some padding to make the vest of a thicker/stiffer nature. Also, this particular brand tends to list it's sizes MUCH too large for what it actually fits. I ordered a 4XL but really it's about a 3XL or 2XL. I decided to keep the vest due to it's fine quality in case I ever loose enough weight to fit into it. Be weary and order a size or two larger then what you wear with this brand.

Buffalo Canton Ne	I am very pleased with this purchase. It goes well with my tails, though that isn't why I purchased it. The butons are fabric covered as were originals from this period. It looks great and fits well.

Bobthemagiccow Boston MA	This vest is slightly different in person from how it's pictured - Gentleman's Emporium must have changed manufacturers after the pictures for the website were taken. Although the fabric itself is of the same cut as the other deep-necked shawl-lapel vests, this vest has only 4 buttons, not 5. The fabric has more of a golden quality than comes through in the photos, and is fairly thin. Still, I love it - I wore this vest under a tailcoat and it looked smashing!
