I was very pleased with the cane. I have been looking since the last Dickens Christmas fair for one including many antique stores. I was supprised it came from an American cane company that makes canes like you'd find at a medical supply. It is not a toy or costume item. It even comes with instructions as to how to cut it to fit you. One improvement I made was to add a 3/4" metal furniture glide (tack on style) to the end to replace the rubber tip. (danger it could cause slipping hazard)

It comes exactly as it appears on the site. The rubber stopper at the bottom was a welcome touch. Sturdy construction, head is screw-on. Overall a great item that I am very pleased to own.

I bought this walking stick recently for my husband to finish off his costume for the Dickens festival coming up in December. It is a very nice heavy wooden walking stick and the silver plated cap gives it a nice touch of elegance. I have seen antique walking sticks that look very similar. This is not a cheap costume quality cane, it is a usable wood cane. I am very happy with the quality of the cane, especially for the price. I know my husband will be able to use it for years to come. The walking stick looks great from a distance. Your eyes are drawn to the shiny metalwork on the head of the stick. Unfortunately the casting of the metal pommel lets the item down.The walking stick has a rubber pad on the bottom to prevent slips.
