A highly versatile hat favored by many during the late 1800's. Its wide brim served the dual purpose of shielding eyes from the sun and necks from the rain. Our version is made of lightweight flexible wool felt for comfort.

I needed this type of hat for a Phantom of the Opera custom. I couldn't find anything else comparable. It's a fantastic hat for the material type and price.

I've been looking for a wider brim hat for a while, to replace my tophat during the heat of the summer, and this hat was a perfect choice. The brim is wide but not flimsy and the material is very sturdy, able to last my hard days labor, drenching rains, and the constant beating of the sun.

This is a very handsome well shaped hat that looks crunched in this picture. It's just the topper you'd expect a cowboy to wear with a oilskin duster in a pouring rain. It's more like the light colored ones.
