Gloves were de rigueur for gentlemen throughout the 19th century as it would have been unseemly to have a bare hand touch lady when assisting her from her carriage. Our gray gloves are comfortable to wear and match our Victorian Top Hat in gray. Please note that the style can vary and that these gloves may have a snap at the wrist. Very fine gloves, well suited for any occasion. I Personally have large fat hands and stubby fingers that make it difficult for gloves to fit proper. These gloves however stretch nicely to create a lovely sleek fit. The only problem I have encountered was with the stitching on the back. The stitching unraveled because the gloves had to stretch. Although, with or without ribbing, they are still fine gloves.

I was surprised by the quality of the gloves. I have long thin hands. So gloves tend to be too short and/or too wide for me but these are a bit stretchy so they fit perfectly. Much better than what I tried in stores for about the same price.

I bought these gloves for my boyfriend. They're great-- they fit perfectly. However, the snaps were too robust for the fabric of the gloves and they tore the first time he wore them. The customer service at Gentleman's Emporium was excellent and they sent me a new pair, but the snaps are still a concern. Buttons might be better.
