Our coats are made with typical American sizing, meaning your chest measurement (in inches) is the size you should choose.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size.
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves.

you guys and ur site are great...., when i measured myself i didnt do a good job so i will be sending the coat back to be exchanged for a sz 48. The coat is BEAUTIFUL and the price was excellent,,, i am really happy i found ur site,, look forward to buying much more from you... The picture does not do it justice: it is a solid black with a soft, warm feel. Very well made, although the size seems to run a bit small.

This jacket looks great in person, it's matte jet black- not ashy looking like in the photo, and I think it will weather well. It may be sized a little on the large side (but it shrinks a little when washed). I like that it is machine washable. To help keep it's shape, I would recommend hanging it to dry, or taking it out of the dryer half way through the cycle and hang it to dry the rest of the way.
