Features 2 front flap pockets, 1 breast pocket and 1 inside breast pocket. Padded shoulders and split at back for easier movement. Exterior 100% wool. Lining 100% Acetate. Dry Clean only. Available in sizes 38-56. Sizes below 38 may be available, call to check stock and pricing. Also available in long sizes for those who need extra length in the sleeves and body.
Our coats are made with typical American sizing, meaning your chest measurement (in inches) is the size you should choose.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size.
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves.

The coat really makes the outfit. A word of advice order one size up from your normal coat size. The coat is not to heavy and people are taken by how great it looks.

The frock coat is part of the Holy Trinity of the mens victorian garb; Frock Coat, Waist Coat, Top Hat. (in my case bowler but you get the point)As a traveling Tattoo Artist/ Stage Magician with a steampunk persona I have very limited room in the wardrobe and a smartly cut, well built coat that goes equally well with every outfit I might use on a weekend this one was simply a must. A few brass gear pins added and it became properly done steampunk. After looking high and low for an authentic frock coat, we finally found this one. It is nice quality, but it's not as heavy as I thought it would be. My husband looks dignified & rather handsome in it! The 44 sleeves ran a bit long and had to be taken in a couple inches, but that was not a big deal. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase and Historical Emporium.

I found this frock coat to fit more like an overcoat than a suit coat, which is probably not surprising given the heavy weight of the material. Chest and shoulders both seemed to fit about two inches larger than I expected from my jacket size. Take care when sizing, and consider ordering early in case of need for return. Otherwise, this is a high-quality coat that can easily be worn more casually than full suit dress.
